Confirmed Service Customer
Overall a good experience but I only needed an annual State Inspection done which I have often driven into gas stations to complete in 10 minutes or less. I decided to have Chevy accomplish this for me so I made an appointment online. When I arrived at my appointment time, my Service Rep asked if I would be waiting for me vehicle. Of course, that was my plan. She then told me that online appointments are NOT waiting appointments. I didn't recall seeing that when I made my online appointment. Why should making an online appointment be different than calling Service to make an appointment? The bottom line is, I only had to wait about 30 minutes so it all worked out okay. Still--it seems that for quick things like an inspection or oil change, a customer should be able to make an appointment online where they are given a time block when the vehicle can actually get in to be serviced so the customer can wait in the waiting area rather than having to get a cab both ways to get home and get back for a procedure which shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.

Needed an inspection. I have very limited time available and have to be able to get a time when I can wait for the service to be completed. Had to make arrangements to free up time and made 9:30 appt. Check in went very well and timely. Then at 10:00 I was informed that a bulb in one of the brake lights was out and needed to be replaced. No problem except for the fact the dealership did not have that bulb available and therefore could not continue the inspection. I would need to come back. A total waste of my time. Very difficult to try and fit my schedule to dealership. No appts after 3 and no Saturdays. Purchased the Chevy Cruz in 2014 and am on my third lease with this particular dealership. Very disappointing..

Was quoted a price to fix my car of $670 and when I picked it up the price was double. No one called to tell me the job was taking longer and was going to be double the price . I will never use your service department again

Failed inspection for slightly torn passenger wiper. When i asked for the wiper it was torn around a foot. I used my wipers in rain the day before, i would have noticed that slightly torn wiper! Set up to make $36! My vehicle is in pristine condition, i will go elsewhere for inspections

Hi Christopher, I am sorry you feel that way, however being that you have a 19 equinox it is clear that you still had your original 4 yr old wiper blades. Upon full inspection for safety, we found that your passenger front wiper was torn which unfortunately fails inspection. We replaced that blade for the cost of the part only and no labor. I came to smithtown Chevy because my lease on my 2020 Equinox was coming due. I dealt with Jimmy Calabrese. I told him I loved the 2020 equinox LT and wanted the same car 2023 with all the same features as my 2020. He called me on 4/30/23 and told me he had one. He said I could pick it up the next day on 5/1/23. On that call I asked him if it had all the same features as my 2020, including the side mirror blind spot feature and he assured me it was on the car. I went in on 5/1, signed all the papers and picked up the car. As I was driving home I noticed the car did not the blind spot alert feature. Not only was I very upset but very angry. It also did not have the back up alert feature that my 2020 car had. I called Jimmy and told him my story. He wasn't aware that that those feature were not on the car. I told him is there any way I could get out of the lease and return the car or have the options put on the car. He said no it is factory installed. I then called Bill Comer, General Sales Manager to speak to him. I left a voicemail and he never returned my call. The same with Debbie Gootos, another sales manager. I sent her an email but she never responded. Not good customer service at all. I will now write to Mary Barra, CEO of GM and give her my details. Very disappointing experience. I feel like I do not want this vehicle any more.
